Welcome to the The Tangled Horn. We are an elevated pub, offering farm-to-table inspired offerings to Durango, while making sure there’s plenty of room for fun along the way.
Owner, Seth Broadhead found Durango a few years ago while visiting his grandfather who had recently relocated to the area. It was love at first sight. “The Animas Valley smacked me in the face with its visuals, and the people and lifestyle here lulled me to sleep. Next thing you know I was calling this place home. Forever.”
Seth’s first company was called “Conscious Cooks”, in Sonoma County, CA and he spent his early twenties scouring local farms for the best produce and meats around to bring farm-to-table fare to weddings and festivals around the area.
“I’m really just an artist kid at the core, and so everything design related draws me in, The Tangled Horn is just my next art project.”
Seth spent the next 12 years as a design/builder and brought his touches of craftmanship and unique interiors to light with this pub project. With a goal of creating a simple, hard-hitting pub menu, an elegant cocktail menu and a plethora of live events on the line-up, The Tangled Horn aims to be THE go-to spot for good food, drink and music in town.
Seth currently lives south of town on a 4-acre parcel with a greenhouse and an orchard to pick from. Ramping up production of veggies for next season is a major goal on the horizon.
“I want to provide a fun spot for locals and tourists alike outside of the downtown congestion. Something fresh and new, and I think we accomplished that.”
